Coaching and mentoring are being used more than ever to improve performance

As the CIPD gauge the coaching climate, their 2011 Coaching Climate survey report finds that this key learning and organisational intervention in good health. The report reveals that of those who use coaching, nearly 84% are using it more now than they were two years ago. The extent and coverage of coaching and mentoring has remained high and stable. Expenditure trends, though by no means moving spectacularly upwards, have not shifted significantly downwards. The profile of coaching as a crucial organisational intervention remains high, though there is still real concern over the need for effective evaluation to prove its impact.
